Their greatest need again is canned meats, canned fish, and peanut butter.
The Interfaith Coalition of Bowie will be hosting a “Stop the Hate” rally, Sunday, May 23rd, at 3:00 at the Allen Pond amphitheater. This really is in response to the upcoming anniversary of the death of George Floyd, as well as marking the observance of Asian American and Pacific Island Heritage Month.
Beginning in June, we will discontinue the Thursday afternoon prayer service. We will continue with our prayer services on Tuesday evenings at 7:30, though. There will also be no prayer service on Tuesday, May 25th and June 1st.
Several people have asked how they can continue to make their tithes and offerings while we are not meeting in person. There are several ways. You can mail a check to the church. You can give online through paypal https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=KJTC62AUPNWCE&source=url You can also set up a payment through your banks online bill pay feature. Paypal charges the church approximately 3%, so please consider either consider giving through one of the other two ways or adding 3% to your offering to offset the fee.
