Advent Study

Covid Protocols

The board reviews the Covid protocols every month.  We will slowly be adding more music into the service.  We will be adding the Gloria Patri, and a third hymn, as well as the choir singing on Christmas Eve.  

Congregational Meeting

We will have a congregational meeting following worship on Sunday, December 12th.  The purpose of the meeting is to elect officers for the coming year as well as vote on a proposed change to the church By-Laws (more details coming soon).  For those worshipping virtually, a Zoom link will be sent out to participate in the meeting.

Electronic Sign

An anonymous donor has made a donation towards an electronic sign at the street.  We are putting together a team to explore what this might entail, how much it cost, and how to best utilize the donation.  If you are interested in helping out, please contact Diane Eades.

If you are unable to join us in person, but would like to continue to make your tithe or offering, there are several ways to do so.  You can mail a check to the church.  You can give online through paypal https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=KJTC62AUPNWCE&source=url   You can also set up a payment through your banks online bill pay feature.  Paypal charges the church approximately 3%, so please consider either consider giving through one of the other two ways or adding 3% to your offering to offset the fee.

Greening of the Church

Join us this Sunday, November 21st, after worship to decorate the church for Advent.  Many hands make light work!

Poinsettias

If you would like to order poinsettias to decorate the church, please email Diane Eades by Sunday, November 21st.  There are multiple colors available and will cost approximately between $11 and $12.

Thanksgiving Gift Cards

The Mission and Service Committee will be collecting gift cards again for any grocery store in the area for Thanksgiving.

Please leave them in the Food Pantry basket or give them to Mary Jo or Janice by Sunday, November 14th. We will deliver them the next day.

Covid Protocols

The board reviews the Covid protocols every month.  Beginning this Sunday, we will have hymnals available again.  They will be on a cart as you enter the sanctuary and ask that you be sure to return them after worship.

The following protocols are still in place:

  • If you are not feeling well or have come into contact someone who has tested positive for Covid that you stay home and join us via livestream.
  • We are not printing bulletins.  They will be sent out Saturday evening and Sunday morning.  You can print them or use the screens.
  • Masks will be required of everyone regardless of vaccination status.
  • We will have hand sanitizer available at the door.
  • We will not pass the peace or pass the collection plate.
  • We will not have coffee before worship or chat & chew after worship for the time being.
  • We will be limiting singing to two hymns, as well as the offertory.
