Congregational Meeting

We will have a congregational meeting following worship this Sunday, December 12th.  The purpose of the meeting is to elect officers for the coming year as well as vote on a proposed change to the church By-Laws.  Here is a link to the proposed changes to the bylaws and here is a link to the current bylaws.  For those worshipping virtually, a Zoom link will be sent out to participate in the meeting.

Christmas Eve

Join us for worship on Christmas Eve at 6:30.  It will look a little different this year.  Bring your coat, because part of the service will be outside.  We are looking for several readers for Christmas Eve.  If you are available, please let Chris know.

Advent Study

During Advent, we will have an Advent study, Mondays at 8:00 PM on Zoom.  The first session will be Monday, November 29th.  We will look at Advent through the lens of the Grinch.  The link will be https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83957803051?pwd=bllndmgwWlFpaDl5YlcwU0JZdmxpdz09

Christmas Giving Opportunities

The Mission and Service Committee will be collecting Grocery and Department store gift cards for Christmas. The Bowie Food Pantry is still collecting food but has decided to provide the familes with the gift cards for them to do their own holiday shopping.
For Thanksgiving UPB collected over $800.00 in Gift cards!

In addition they are collecting Senior Citizen stockings. Feel free to fill them with candy, pens, crosswords, etc.

All will be due by December 19th.
You can leave your donations in the baskets or give them to one of the committee members; Judy, Nancy or Doug, Sharon, MaryJo, Erma or Janice.

Covid Protocols

The board reviews the Covid protocols every month.  We will slowly be adding more music into the service.  We will be adding the Gloria Patri, and a third hymn, as well as the choir singing on Christmas Eve.

Weekly Prayer Meeting

Join us for the weekly Prayer Meeting on Tuesdays at 7:30PM via Zoom. You can join us through this link.

Electronic Sign

An anonymous donor has made a donation towards an electronic sign at the street.  We are putting together a team to explore what this might entail, how much it cost, and how to best utilize the donation.  If you are interested in helping out, please contact Diane Eades.

Tech Team

Ever dream of being a producer or a director?  Now is your chance!  We are looking for people to learn how to work the livestreaming camera during worship.  If you are interested in helping out, please contact Russ Doughty.

Worship Livestream

Now that our worship is back in the sanctuary, we are also livestreaming every Sunday on our YouTube channel – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqqDRraxyFzFTQNz9ppOuWg

Giving

If you are unable to join us in person, but would like to continue to make your tithe or offering, there are several ways to do so.  You can mail a check to the church.  You can give online through paypal https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=KJTC62AUPNWCE&source=url   You can also set up a payment through your banks online bill pay feature.  Paypal charges the church approximately 3%, so please consider either consider giving through one of the other two ways or adding 3% to your offering to offset the fee.
